“Video Killed the radio star” is what The Buggles sang. But is this true? Podcasts are popping up like mushrooms and we have never listened to audiobooks as much as we do now. So it was time to put audio back in the spotlight. On the initiative of De Standaard, we were honored to organize the first Belgian podcast festival ever. And spoiler: it was a success!

Podcast fans could enjoy national and international stars at the festival. What was on the agenda? Listening sessions, panel discussions, debates and live recordings. And that’s not all! Visitors could bring out their most interesting topics in the PodGrot, where they could record their own podcast. How cool is that? And for the cherry on top, the festival ended with the Oorkondes: the ultimate awards for different podcast categories, also known as the Oscars of the podcast.

Our responsibility? Dress up, visualize and decorate the festival down to the last detail. And of course: bring the festival to a successful end. Together with our partner, we have transformed the entire Kursaal in Ostend into a full podcast experience!
